I have been in a long-term relationship with hair as far as my memory goes back.  I have been a hairstylist for 20 years and am happy to say I have yet to fall out of love.  I honestly feel like it brings out the best in me because it requires me to use the craft to bring out the best in others.  Hair is a symbol of our lifestyle and how we wish to represent ourselves. I am always honored to be a part of this and will use all relevant variables to guide that direction.

I was raised on a cattle ranch in the Midwest and was banned from playing with my older sisters Cut and Curl Barbie. Knowing at an early age this made absolutely no sense, I have stayed true to myself and my beliefs and playfully remind my parents how their ban shaped me into who I am today. After receiving my cosmetology license from Stewart’s School of Hairstyling (which later became a setting for MTV’s reality show 16 and pregnant) I then moved to Seattle and had further education at the Gene Juarez advanced training salon. I went on to be a designer at their Northgate location for 14 years and an educator for three. I have had the opportunity to attend classes in New York through Kerastase and Bumble and Bumble and had the pleasure of meeting Tabatha Coffey.  I have been mostly influenced by those I have worked with and the clients themselves.

When I am not working, I enjoy every moment with my partner and my two kitties, Arnie and Dempsey.  I enjoy rodeos, museums and baking and hope to someday invest my resources into a beauty school so that the art of hairstyling can benefit others as much as it benefitted me.
